London Cycle Show

See the rest of my photos on Flickr but bellow I’ve compiled a few of the things I found more interesting. I went on Friday by train, choose your trains carefully people, the one I went on was pretty good but the one I came back on took a different route and was awful. The underground is fast but also by no means a nice way to travel. The busses are slower but preferable if your not in a rush but we all know how exciting a bike show can be and there’s an underground station right outside Earl’s Court where the Cycle Show now resides. It’s obviously nowhere near as big as Eurobike but there was a fair few exhibitors there, noticeably Sram was not there this year, in it’s place was the much preferable Shimano handing out Saint hats and energy drinks. I can’t quite remember who was there last year but Cannondale seemed to be in the place of Bergamont and KTM had thoughtfully brought along some very nice bikes too celebrate 2009 being their first year in the UK. The ones that should have troubled themselves to get there were Silverfish (RM, Race Face, Cove and now Turner), ATB Sales (Whyte and Marin), Giant are the biggest bicycle manufacturer in the world and if Cannondale could make it (who don’t even bother with Interbike) then that’s kind of pathetic and the lack of Lapierre was disappointing. The reason I moan is that the companies who didn’t come also happen to be my 3 current favourites, Giant, Whyte and Lapierre. Anyway, on with the bike porno…

The first time I’ve felt it worth while to pick up a Genesis catalogue…

Genesis IOID and Charge Duster bother with Alfine IGH's…

The worlds most flexy Ti bike with the smoothest fork I’ve ever felt: Cotic Soda…

Mavic and their wall of wheels…

Belt drive Fixie prototype…

Anyone know whose Scalpel this is?

The usual…

And finally this GT looks stunning, I’ll put up some more tomorrow.

Ah, he’s got a sweet bike, I particularly like what he did with the lockout lever!
