Freshly nuked components

Recently reincarnated component manufacturer Nuke Proof has been steadily bringing out new products over the last couple of years. The latest are these Warhead Ti handlebars which are designed by Shedfire for Nuke Proof and made by Lynskey in the USA. Impressively they’re 710mm wide, only weigh 220g and yet still come with a lifetime guarantee. Nearly £200 seems a bit pricy just for some bars and I prefer one piece bars but the ‘cut off bmx bar’ style is certainly an eye catcher.

There’s also two new pedals called the Neutron and Proton. The Proton seems a bit smaller and lighter whereas the Neutron has a similar shape to Kona Wah Wah‘s. There are two versions of each, a standard one and one with a Ti axle and Magnesium body. I’m not sure why Nuke Proof didn’t use back loading pins like on the Wah Wah’s but pricing seems reasonable…at the moment.

Nuke Proof used to make some really cool components…including their famous carbon fibre hubs which I’ve still got laying around somewhere, it’s nice to see them still making desirable stuff.

Nice, I thought Nuke Proof went the same way as Kooka. :)

As with Dan, I thought Nuke Proof was long dead and buried. Seriously glad to see they're coming out with some quality looking gear, especially seeing as my disposable income has increased since I last oogled them 10 or so years ago.

I don’t think many people know Nuke Proof is back because they’re only being sold in the UK and advertised in UK magazines at the moment…
