Well here is your answer, the Rocky Mountain Altitude, I wonder what it is with going back to old names? If you ask me I can see quite a few similarities between this bike and the front triangle part of the frame on my Trance, look at the lower shock mount, upper rocker mount and general curvy lines. According to rumours from an unverified but supposedly reliable source it will be available in a 29er version, the pics above are a proto so production models may differ, it was completely finalised yesterday, is a 5in travel marathon/xc/trail bike like the ETSX (isn’t everything), the similar looking to Horst Link suspension system has been used to give a similar ride, feel and movement to the ETS system on the ETSX, has pretty interesting geometry that makes it a good climber. Anyhow, I like Rocky Mountain and own one so I’ll put details up as I find them and will rush down to the shops to try one when they come out, also it looks like a nice in the bike feel rather than the on the bike feel with the old ETSX and my Slayer which wasn't my favourite.

Man, the Rockys, Giants and Specializeds all look alike nowadays, same top tubes, same downtube curves... They might all have been out of the same factory in Taiwan so I give the nod to Giant, they at least assume their Taiwan origin and make a whole bunch of other manufacturers frames!
I do love the bike rack though.
It’s that blasted Horst Link, someone left the door open at Rocky and it crept in, thanks for the Giant love!
You noticed the 2009 Crossmax SLR's?
Nice, I missed those on my first inspection of the bike, looks like I’ve got some posts to edit later. :-)
